Lock Gate news and timetable

The SPA timetable is as follows:
April-Design of new lock gate.
End June-Tender and award contract to build.
August-Fabrication and Instalation.
October-Commissioning.
So there you have it folks,A difficult summer of co-operation but light at the end of the tunnel.

Out of interest, can you let us know, please, if this projected schedule is published anywhere, as my feeble efforts at Googling it have proved fruitless?

When the lock first failed, SPA was exemplary in keeping us all posted as to anticipated developments.  It was particularly appreciated that Captain Colin Crookshank kindly sacrificed a Sunday morning to come to the clubhouse and address all concerned parties.

Since then all seems to have gone very quiet.

Is it, perhaps, time for the club to exert diplomatic pressure for an update?  Or have i missed something?
