greetings all

our very best wishes to all competing in the St Valéry overnight race in 2008!

this race has, in my limited experience, always qualified for the adjective "egregious", with the people at the far side being unsurpassed in their hospitalité.

please say hello to them for us.

if you go, please accord us the vicarious enjoyment of a posting on your return.

good sailing

Obviously those doing the Summer Rally will still be happily participating in Cruelty To Geese and other traditional gallic pursuits.

But doubtless some racers are now safely returned.  News and views eagerly awaited.

Glad to report it happended. The race over was very slow going but three of us persevered. We enjoyed once again the hospitalite of Michel et Marie in their garden for a BBQ.Dinner in the evening at Hotel du Casino.Good meal but somewhat bloated form BBQ.We said "hullo" to Barbaras steps and other ports of call of you both. The sail back on the monday was spirited making the trip from entrance to entrance in 8hrs 27mins.A good weekend  for all 12 boats who made it.

So, who were the three boats who sailed it?
