Robin, are you suggesting life aboard Barda is anything less than idyllic? What more could a young cod want than scintillating conversation, a great view of the fleet behind followed by warm beer and hot pasties? Oh no he did not defect... Colin was stolen from right under our eyes by that young swine Charlie. Listening to Colin's pitiful cries as he was carried away was enough to make a grown man cry.
And then we come to the treachery. It cannot be denied that Barda, through the skilful plotting of an agent aboard Highland Daughter spirited away their young Teddy to be used as a bargaining point in the negotiations to retrieve Colin. However it has been made plain to us by those callous Highlnders that they don't really like Teddy much anyway and won't blink if he goes in to the blender. Is that the way to treat one of your own crew? Shame on them.
Taking pity on our guest, Barda has made Teddy an honourary crew member on Barda and he seems happy in his new home. Yes he whimpered himself to sleep on Sunday after seeing his old boat, but we think he'll get over it.
And as for Colin. Well, we'll see him home soon, of that you can be sure.
