Title: Cleaning oilies
Post by: Will Thornton on October 03, 2011, 07:41:56 PM
Anyone got any good methods of cleaning oilies  ... they are a set of musto coastal / offshore and are quite salty and have started to show slight mould - they have been stored in a closed locker for a while.

Ive read that you can stick em in the washing machine on warm gentle cycle, but not sure what kind of detergent to use - some say small amount of non bio?? Or you can buy some stuff called nikwax (?) as a cleaner or waterproofer i think.

the other one ive found is grangers 30 degree cleaner / proofer. seems like tumble drying helps keep the DWR active ??
