Summer Series

As the summer series races 4 to 7 now form part of the Sussex Regatta
how will our results work as presumably the syc boats will split over 4
classes racing on different courses at different times.

Hi Tim,
A point that hadnt escaped us.You will recall that last year we also used our Regatta as part of of our Summer Series.This year we have the complicationof the Suusex Regatta being a part.I am sure that in the near future Robin will call a meeting to thrash these ponts out.Hopefully he will attend our CAKS Meeting next week when your point will be discussed.A number of other issues still to be discussed/agreed,It should be great and dont forget the Summer/Regatta Party on the Saturday when we have a superb Jazz Band booked.See you there.

perhaps this event could do with a bit of an additional "plug", David, as it is currently tucked away on the Club Website.

That is Saturday 19th July ("a day that will live in infamy" as my better half will confirm) at 19.30 hrs.

Robin attended the Meeting of CAKS and it was agreed that the first two races on both the Saturday and Sunday would form part of our own Summer Series.Yes the start for PY and IRC will be seperate but the courses will be the same with a small time difference.The same as we have in the Royal Escape which of course forms part of our Offshore Series.So no real problem.A Meeting of the Combined Committee is being held next week when all will be confirmed.Should be a great weekend if we have more luck with the weather.
